Plastic Waste
Plastic is all around us. Plastic has a long lifespan, is relatively cheap and can be used for many purposes. it is however very problematic if it’s only used once.
More than 300 million tonnes of plastic waste is formed annually, and a significant part of it ends up in the soil, rivers and oceans. Plastics generates billions of tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions (CO2e), mainly coming from the production and conversion of fossil fuels.
The numbers are still increasing, and in 2024, single-used plastics are unfortunately still commonly used, also in the hygiene and cosmetics industry.
Only 40% of the plastic in Europe is recycled; much of it is incinerated or exported to low-wage countries, mainly in Asia, where it ends up in nature, either in a controlled or uncontrolled manner.
Worldwide, only 15% is reused. By far the major part is either incinerated or going to landfill, causing degradation to micro- and nanoplastics, being flushed by the rainwater towards rivers and finally entering the oceans.
Stand Up
We want to stand up and tackle this problem. Many cleaning agents and cosmetic products contain 80 up to 98% water, which is unnecessarily stored and transported in plastic bottles. So in fact we ship enormous amounts of water in plastic containers around the world, and that is bad for the CO2 footprint and creates a lot of plastic waste! Our solution? Compact powdered products, without water, packaged plastic-free in environmentally friendly materials.
Format
We are proud to bring a dry, waterless powder format to the skincare market with a hand soap and body shampoo, allowing you to add tap water at home and re-use bottles. Our powders packed in carton tubes are 10 to 12x smaller and lighter than conventional water-based products which allows us to pack roughly the equivalent amount of hand soap and body shampoo onto one shipping pallet compared to traditional ones which would require multiple full-size trucks. A major emissions win!
Packaging
The carboard tubes and shipping boxes are created with mixed FSC sources, which makes it a great form of sustainable packaging. Plastic free and highly durable, this cardboard packaging is reusable and can ultimately be recycled, giving a zero waste experience. Plus, the lightweight packages minimizes shipping emissions !
Ingredients
Made with people and planet-friendly ingredients, all of our products are free from parabens, alcohols, phosphates, phtalates, peg’s, silicones, microplastics and colorants.
How does it work?
1 fill bottle
Fill bottle with luke
(+/- 40ºC) warm water.
2 empty refill tube
Empty tube into bottle
and replace pump.
3 shake
Shake vigorously
for 20 seconds.
4 shake again
Once cooled, shake once more.
Product is now ready for use.
